As part of the 2023 NWMC, a one-day webinar entitled, “Understanding Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC): Concepts, Issues, and Concerns” was held on March 17 from which twenty-five (25) female and seven (7) male new hired employees participated via the online platform, Zoom. The subject matter expert, Ms. Kristel Gomez-Mandaraog, discussed during her lecture the concept of SOGIESC and the LGBTQIA situation in the Philippines. She used exercises and video materials to provide real and situational examples and to ensure that the basic GAD concepts were established for the participants.
