Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go lauded Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) for their outstanding performance and higher dividend remittances, underscoring their vital role in funding public programs that directly benefit the Filipino people.
“As our economy continues to grow, our GOCCs remain vital partners in turning national assets into national progress. Every dividend they remit strengthens the capacity of the government to invest in the future of the Filipino people,” Secretary Frederick Go said in his remarks at the 2026 GOCC Day.
Led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and Secretary Frederick Go, this year’s GOCCs’ Day recognized 50 GOCCs for their record dividend remittance of PHP 147.15 billion—a 29% increase from the previous year’s performance.
Of this amount, PHP 140 billion has already been remitted, with the remaining balance expected by year-end.
GOCC’s dividends are a major source of non-tax revenues for the national government, helping fund President Marcos, Jr.’s priority programs.
Under Republic Act No. 7656 or the Dividend Law, GOCCs are required to remit at least 50% of their net earnings during the preceding year as dividends to the National Government.
To maximize non-tax revenues and strengthen the government’s fiscal position, the DOF has requested GOCCs to increase their remittances to 75%.

– Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation
– Manila International Airport Authority
– Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation
– Philippine Ports Authority
– Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation
– Bases Conversion and Development Authority
– Clark Development Corporation
– Philippine Guarantee Corporation
– Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office
– Philippine Economic Zone Authority
– Maharlika Investment Corporation
– Philippine National Oil Company
– Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines
These dividends will help expand investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other initiatives that promote inclusive economic growth and improve the quality of life of Filipinos.
Last June 29 to 30, the DOF held its third GOCCs’ Service Caravan in Cagayan de Oro (CDO). Secretary Frederick Go commended the 11 participating GOCCs for bringing essential government services directly to communities, serving more than 3,500 Filipinos in two days.
The success of the event demonstrated how the initiative improved service delivery by making government transactions more accessible, convenient, and efficient for citizens.
