Outstanding Public Sector Debt to GDP down to 70.2% as of 2013 Q2
General Government Debt to GDP at 39.2% as of 2013 Q2
As of June 2013, Outstanding Public Sector Debt (OPSD) was recorded at P7.73 trillion, equivalent to 70.2% of GDP. The ratio decreased from 71.3% as of March 2013 and 73.1% of GDP in the same period last year.
The OPSD represents a nominal increase of P42.4 billion from the end March 2013 debt of P7.69 trillion. Total domestic debt of the public sector decreased by P23.0 billion over March 2013 to P5.52 trillion while foreign debt increased to P2.21 trillion.
