Friends from the media, good afternoon.

Welcome, and thank you for joining us as we celebrate another milestone for our Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations.

We are honored by the presence of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., and we thank the President for continuing this tradition of recognizing the vital role of our GOCCs in advancing our nation’s development and social welfare.

As our economy continues to grow, our GOCCs remain vital partners in turning national assets into national progress. Every dividend they remit strengthens the capacity of the government to invest in the future of the Filipino people.

This year, 50 GOCCs will remit a record amount of 147.15 billion pesos in dividends to the National Government. Of this amount, 140 billion pesos has already been remitted, with the balance to follow by year-end. This represents a 29 percent increase from last year.

Behind these figures are the boards, management teams, and employees who have shown discipline, professionalism, and commitment to good governance. Through your work, public resources are managed responsibly and channeled to serve our people.

These dividends do more than strengthen our public finances. They help expand investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other programs that support our country’s progress.

Today we also recognize the 11 participating GOCCs in the recent Service Caravan, led by the Department Of Finance in CDO, to bring government services closer to the people. Thank you for your time, effort, and commitment. Over three thousand five hundred (3,500) Filipinos were served during the event. It shows that impact is strongest when we work as one.

The Department will continue to support our GOCCs and ensure their strong performance for the country. Let us build on this momentum and continue delivering results that improve the lives of all Filipinos.
