Thank you, Atty. Nikki Tolentino, for the kind introduction.

Good afternoon PCEO Lynette Ortiz, Sec. Popo Lotilla, Sec. Klink Ang, National Treasurer Sharon Almanza, members of the Board and Management of Landbank, our qualified institutional investors, partners in the finance community, fellow public servants, and distinguished guests.

First and foremost, congratulations to LANDBANK on the launch of the [agriculture, sustainability, environment, and socioeconomic Development —or] ASENSO–Bonds. This milestone reflects the Bank’s continued leadership in development finance, its strong execution capability, and credibility in the capital markets.

This high-yielding capital market offering is particularly timely.

It advances several key priorities of this administration — strengthening investor confidence, supporting sustainable and inclusive development, promoting climate resilience, and expanding financial inclusion.

ASENSO is more than a name. It reflects our guiding principle to channel long-term capital into activities that move the economy forward – supporting development priorities while creating real value to investors.

Sustainability Agenda

As global capital increasingly pivots toward sustainable and environmentally responsible assets, it has become imperative for countries to recalibrate strategies to benefit from this shift. This is especially true for the Philippines—an archipelagic, resource-rich country with significant untapped economic potential that can be unlocked through the right investments.

In this context, LANDBANK’s ASENSO Bonds build on the momentum created by initiatives, such as the Board of Investments’ Green Lanes Program, alongside the government’s broader push to accelerate Renewable Energy and Climate-Resilient projects.

As a funding source for eligible green and sustainable initiatives, the ASENSO Bonds strengthen our whole-of-government commitment to an ecologically resilient and future-ready economy.

Benefit to the Filipino Investor

Beyond sustainability, this initiative also strengthens investor confidence, while advancing financial inclusion and capital market development.

The ten thousand-peso minimum investment broadens market participation by providing an accessible entry point for a wider investor base, while the availability of these bonds in the secondary market supports liquidity, price discovery, and depth—key attributes for a well-functioning fixed-income market.

Ultimately, this structure aligns individual and national objectives. By channeling savings into productive investments, Filipinos support long-term economic growth and benefit from it, creating a cycle where personal financial success and national progress reinforce each other.

Closing

Today’s milestone demonstrates how the government and the financial sector can work together to mobilize capital toward productive, inclusive, and sustainable growth.

To our investors, your participation is a strong vote of confidence—not only in LANDBANK, but in the broader Philippine growth story. We deeply value that trust, and we remain committed to protecting it through discipline, transparency, and sound governance.

Let us continue pursuing initiatives like this—those that are good for the environment, good for the economy, and good for the Filipino investor.

I will not keep you any longer, so you can go ahead and start selling—or buying—the ASENSO Bonds.

Tuloy-tuloy nating abutin ang pag-asenso ng bayan.

Thank you, and good afternoon.
