BIR Collection for June 2013 Grew by Php 7.42 Billion

For the month of June 2013, the BIR collected Php88.76 billion in tax revenues, Php7.42 billion or 9.12% more than collections made in June 2012.

For June 2013, collections from BIR operations amounted to Php86.28 billion, Php7.37 Billion or 9.34% more than collections made in June 2012. Collections from non-BIR operations amounted to Php2.48 Billion, Php47.26 million or or1.94% more than the collections made in June 2012.

Collections by the Regional Offices amounted to PhP31.53 Billion, or Php3.50 billion or 12.48% more than the collections made in June 2012. While collections by the Large Taxpayers Service amounted to PhP54.75 billion, or PhP3.87 Billion or 7.61% more than the collections made in June 2012.

For the first half of the year, the BIR collected PhP593.71 Billion, Php72.55 billion or 13.92% more than the collections made in the first half of 2012. Collections from BIR Operations amounted to PhP574.84 Billion, PhP76.25 billion or 15.29% more than collections made in the first half of 2012. However, collections from non-BIR operations amounted to PhP18.87 Billion, PhP3.70 billion or 16.4% less than collections made in the first half of 2012.

Collections by the BIR of excise tax on Sin Products for the first semester of 2013 amounted to Php38.54 Billion, PhP12.15 Billion or 46.06% more than the collections made in the first semester of 2012. Excise tax collection from tobacco products amounted to Php22.38 Billion, or an increase of Php7.77 Billion or 53.14%. While excise tax collection from alcohol products amounted to Php16.16 billion or an increase of Php4.39 Billion or 37.27%.

The BIR’s collection target for the said month is Php100.51 billion.
