Go leads turnover of proceeds from auctioned Discaya luxury cars to the Treasury
Funds to serve national development

Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go led the turnover of proceeds from the public auction of Discaya-owned luxury vehicles to the National Treasury, which will be used to fund national development.

Following the successful auction of three luxury vehicles which were sold above their floor prices, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) was able to collect a total of PHP 38.2 million.

BOC Assistant Commissioner Atty. Vincent Philip C. Maronilla officially turned over PHP 34.4 million or 90% of the proceeds to the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) led by National Treasurer Sharon P. Almanza on November 21, 2025.

The remaining PHP 3.8 million or 10% will be deposited to the BOC’s Trust Fund to support auction-related expenses.

Secretary Go personally inspected the cars and led the public auction yesterday, demonstrating his firm commitment to better governance.

“We made sure that the funds are returned to their rightful owners—the Filipino people. They deserve a government that protects what is theirs and upholds trust. This is part of our commitment to uphold transparency and accountability, safeguarding the economic interests of the country,” the Finance Chief said.

The sought-after Mercedes-Benz G500 (2019) Brabus was awarded to Simplex Industrial Corporation for PHP 15,500,000.
The same company also secured a Mercedes-Benz G63 after their acceptance of the new bid price of PHP 15,611,710 resulting from the clustering of bids.

Meanwhile, the Lincoln Navigator L (2021) was awarded to its sole bidder, Lesentrell Jewelries for PHP7,100,000.
The BOC will re-auction the four remaining luxury vehicles after lowering the bid floor price by 20% in accordance with the BOC’s rules on the auction of forfeited goods.

The public auction was held in collaboration with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Commission on Audit (COA).
