For the first quarter of 2012, the BIR collected Php 229.04 billion in tax revenues, Php 29.5 Billion or 14.78% more than the collection made in the first quarter of 2011.
Despite a non-recurring collection amounting to PhP 13.3 Billion made in March 2011, the BIR collected PhP 75.2 billion for March 2012, or an increase of PhP 3.64 billion over last year. The revenue collection of the regional offices increased by 21.28% over their last March 2011 collection.
