BIR Collection for September 2014 Grew by 22.87%, Exceeding Goal by 2.64%

For the month of September 2014, the BIR collected Php105.71 billion in tax revenues, Php2.72 billion or 2.64% over the collection goal for the month. This is also Php19.67 billion or 22.87% more than actual collections made in September 2013.

For September 2014, collections from BIR operations amounted to Php101.63 billion, Php3.06 billion or 3.1% over the collection goal set for the month, or PhP19.87 billion or 24.3% more than actual collections made in September 2013.

While collections from non-BIR operations amounted to Php4.08 billion, Php338.83 million or 7.68% less than the goal set for the month, or Php197.37 million or 4.62% less than the actual collections made in September 2013.

The good collection performance for September 2014 was largely due to the increase in collection by the Large Taxpayer Service. For September 2014, the Large Taxpayer Service collected Php66.17 Billion, or 5.64 billion or 9.33% more than its collection target for the month. This is also Php16.68 billion or 33.69% more than actual collections made last September 2013.

Collections by the Regional Offices amounted to Php35.47 billion, Php3.79 billion or 9.66% less than its collection goal for September 2014. However, this is Php3.2 billion or 9.9% more than the collections made in September 2013.
